Counting Down

We are just four days away and we will be on our way to convention! I'm so excited. I've gotten everything done now just to practice practice practice! Convention is the best thing of any year! I hope everyone has a safe trip to convention! Can't wait to see you there!

No Such Thing As Can't

The actual definition of can't is cannot.v
 People always say that they can't do something. I CAN'T do my work because I'm to dumb. I CAN'T put the bowl up because I'm too short. I CAN'T sing in church because I have a bad voice. These are all excuses people use. There is example after example where someone was given a hard task but guess what they still did them! Even Jonah did what he was told. Yes it took him to be swallowed by a whale but he still got the job done. What will it take for you to get the job done?? Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." People always use can't when they think about spreading the Gospel. Where I go to school and how I've been taught there IS NO SUCH THING AS CAN'T! 

When Was The Last Time You Paid Attention In Church?

When was the last time you paid attention in church? Was it during the last worship service? Two weeks ago? A month ago? A year ago? You should be entirely focused on the lesson EVERY  worship service! You might not think the lesson at that time has something to do with you but it probably does. Sorry to tell you this but the only person that was ever perfect died and rose from his grave. You go to church for a reason. That reason isn't to text, or play games, or think about what's going to happen tomorrow. Why worry about tomorrow when you can barely pay attention to what's going on today? Christ never lost sight of the bigger picture! He died on the cross for us! So we could have forgiveness for our sins but we have problems focusing in church. You never know what affect the sermon preached or a lesson taught will have on you. Stop saying you can't and just do I promise it won't kill you to help spread the Gospel!

Singing

Singing is one of my favorite things to do! I would probably sing all the time if I could. Ephesians 5:19 says that we need to sing and making melody in your heart. So many people hate singing. Well guess what you need to get over the fact that you hate singing. Psalms 57:7 I will sing and give praise. In the Bible we are told to praise God by singing not using instruments in church. Open your mouth and let it flow. God gave you a voice for a reason. Use it! 

Bruises

I'm the varsity catcher at my school. I literally sacrifice my body to stop the ball. I come home with bruises all over but none of that compares to the pain Christ went through on the cross. He was cruicified for our sins so we can be saved! People make the comment sometimes that they don't believe in the Bible because it's a lost hope. How is it a lost hope when the Bible tells of the story of Christ? How is it a lost hope when we have the world to prove his existence? Everything wasn't just poofed here. How is it a lost hope when we wake up each and every day? God sent his son to die for us. All of us each and every one. Nobody's aches and pains cuts or bruises can ever relate to the ones Christ went through because of us and people want to call him a lost hope. No believing in God is not a lost hope him having sent his son to die on the cross is not a lost hope. We are the lost hope when we don't believe in him!

Jesus Hold My Hand

Jesus Hold My Hand was my great grandmother's favorite church song. Every time we sung this song you would always see her on the back row just bobbing her head and singing along. Even on her death bed she still wanted to hear this song. "As I travel thru this pilgrim land There is a Friend who walks with me, Leads me safely thru the sinking sand It is the Christ of Calvary; This would be my prayer dear Lord, each day To help me do the best I can, For I need Thy light to guide me day and night Blessed Jesus, hold my hand." Have you ever thought what this verse means? As we travel through this world there is a friend who walks with us and that friend is Jesus.  Jesus leads us safely through all obstacles no matter how hard they are you just have to have faith in him to do so. We pray for Jesus to help us do the best we can. We need his light no matter to guide us through day and night. We need Jesus to hold our hand. My great grandmother went through so much suffering but never lost hope of someday going to meet God. I sung this song to her right before she died and I am 100% sure that she heard me. This song meant so much to her and now it means so much to me to. Yeah we might suffer or go through hard times but we must always keep in mind that Jesus is always walking with us. He will help us through our struggles. He will hold our hands. He hears our plea and is constantly watching us. Don't lose faith or hope in Him. My great grandmother didn't and she had went through so much pain and guess what I'm not going to either and neither should you!

Snow Day

I have been stuck at home for the past two days because of snow! I like getting out of taking test but two days is crazy! We didn't get snow until about 7 last night. It came down fast!

My Day With My Mom

For the past two weekends I have been spending them with my mom. We don't get to spend a lot of time together but when we do it means a lot. For the past two weeks we have went to softball practice then go and run errands. This might not seem like a lot to you but it is to me. We walked so much in stores I thought my feet were going to fall off. I love spending time with my mom. We don't spend a lot of time together because we both stay busy.

Puppets

This year is the first year my church will be participating in puppets at Lads to Leaders. We are so excited!!! This is going to be a interesting experience for all of us. I even get a mini me puppet! I hope everyone will get something from our lesson.

Never Give Up

I have been through losing my great grandmother, losing the uncle I was closest to, breaking three fingers, having endometriosis surgery, freshman year of high school, having a panic attack, and so much more but you know what I never gave up. Yes I wanted to so many times but I didn't. I felt alone, out of place, and heartbroken but I never gave up. The reason why I didn't give up is because I have God on my side. When everyone else gives up on you God is still here. Things are hard at times. Everyone has things they struggle with it might be depression sickness, sorrow, pain, or something else but trust me you are NOT alone! I know it feels like it at first and you might not have anyone around you that you can talk to but you do have God. I know how it feels to feel like you are a bother and nothing you do is right. Honestly that's how I feel a lot of the time but I refuse to give up. God has great things planned for everyone! You just have to give him time.

I Want To Be Ready To Meet Him

You may have your worldly pleasures your silver and your gold......... But I would rather have my Savior and with Him firmly stand. You can have everything on this Earth but none of that will matter when you die. You don't take your possessions to the grave with you and if you find a way around that and do have your stuff buried with you but it won't mean nothing. I would rather spend my time preparing to meet God then worry about how much stuff I have.

Gods Creation

Lions, and tigers, and bear. Oh my! They are so many different assets to God's creation. There's trees, plants, animals, buildings, lands, food, fishes, etc. I really don't understand how people can sit around and actually say all of this just got here when "evolution" took place. IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH! God created this Earth and everything on it! Don't take credit away from him. We have everything we have because of him. He is an awesome God.

True Friends

What is your definition of a true friend?? My ideal true friend is someone who I can talk to about anything, I can be myself around this person, they are always willing to talk and hang out not just when it's convenient for them or just because they need something, my ideal true friend is someone who doesn't use me because I can do things they can't. I have went through several "best friends" they are only around long enough for them to get something out of it and once they got what they needed they stopped talking to me. It really hurts when someone you thought was your best friend doesn't talk to you but can talk to everyone else. People will always claim their your friend when they really aren't. There are certain people in your life that can be considered your true friend. Your parents. My mom has always been here for me no matter what always willing to listen and give me advice. Your grandparents. I have the two most craziest grandparents ever! They are always willing to make me pancakes and help get me out of trouble. God.. God has given us the best advice of all time in the Bible. The information we get from God in the Bible is advice we need to hear. He loves us no matter what. God-siblings.... I have the best god sister of all time! She has been here since I was born. She gives me her old clothes, advice, moral support, and relationship talks. We got my church families. I have god parents at church that I know I can rely on no matter what. I got  best friends at church that I know I can always go to if I need a laugh. I have my moms boyfriend who is willing to buy me anything I want and take me any where I need to go. I got my bestfriend John who aggrevates me all the time but I know he's here for me. Nobody needs a part time friend! I have plenty of people around me who actually care that I'm done worrying about all this nonsense going on with everyone else.

A Common Love

A Common Love  for each other, a common gift to the savior. This is one of my favorite church songs! One thing binds us all together and that is the love of the Savior. He died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins without him doing this we would all be without hope. We were all put here for a reason and that was to serve God. We are tied together and need to support each other. It is a bond holding us to the truth! JESUS IS THE TRUTH! This is a song with such powerful words. If you haven't ever heard this song you really need to and don't just listen to how it sounds listen to the words. Think about what the words mean and how they relate to you, your life, and your bond with your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

Starting Rumors

Have you ever started a rumor or helped spread one? I hear rumors all the time and even heard rumors that were started about me. It's seriously sad when someone has nothing better to do then start rumors about someone else. Rumors can break people down and they hurt! Nobody's perfect everyone makes mistakes so why make up stuff about people that isn't true? Spreading rumors can ruin people's reputations. Are you that concerned with someone else life that you have to sit there and spread rumors. Have you ever heard the phrase if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all? Then keep people's names out of your mouth unless it involves you. Starting rumors is not worth it and neither is spreading rumors. If you know something about someone keep it to yourself! Think about how you would feel if you were in their shoes how do you think you would feel when people start rumors about you... You wouldn't like it so what makes you think someone else would like it?
